The agreement with Invest Alberta opens up new opportunities for collaboration in the energy, innovation, manufacturing and agri-food sectors, with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Italy as the official point of reference for the Italian market.
Invest Alberta, an agency of the Government of the Province of Alberta in charge of attracting foreign investment and facilitating strategic partnerships, and the Canadian Chamber in Italy have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing structured relations between Alberta and Italy.
The agreement provides for Invest Alberta’s membership in the House as an observer member and represents a concrete step to strengthen bilateral relations. The Canadian Chamber in Italy will make its institutional and entrepreneurial network available to support the promotion of the opportunities offered by Alberta to Italian companies, organizing events, B2B meetings and dedicated communication activities.
The protocol defines a framework for cooperation in key sectors for both companies: energy and clean technologies, advanced manufacturing, agri-food and innovation, with the aim of facilitating the development of long-term investments and partnerships.
“With the signing of this protocol, we intend to make the market of the province of Alberta more accessible to Italian investors, creating direct channels of dialogue and new opportunities for economic growth,” said Rick Christiaanse, CEO of Invest Alberta.
“The Canadian Chamber in Italy is proud to become an institutional partner of Invest Alberta in Italy. This agreement will allow Italian companies to be accompanied on a concrete path of discovery and entry into the Canadian market, with particular attention to the opportunities offered by Alberta,” commented Caterina Passariello, President of the Canadian Chamber in Italy.
